1. Information We Collect

Jamagi collects only the minimum information needed to operate the Service:

Email address — Collected when you create an account, and used to identify your account and send essential service notices.
Password — Stored as a one-way hash; the original is never kept.
Streaming platform account links — When you sign in with OAuth we collect only the platform's unique ID; we do not pull other personal data (name, email, etc.) from that platform.

2. Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through an external payment provider. Jamagi does not receive, store, or access credit card numbers, CVV codes, or billing details.

3. Voice Processing

While a broadcast session is active, your microphone audio is sent in real time to an AI speech recognition service and converted to text. By default, Jamagi does not store voice data.

Voice data is processed as a stream and discarded immediately after the session ends. It is not used to train AI models.

4. Translation Processing

Recognized text is sent to a third-party machine translation service to generate real-time translations. To improve translation speed and accuracy, individual translated word and phrase pairs may be stored in a database. These stored pairs carry no account, user, session, or timestamp information, so they cannot be linked to who said what or when.

5. Usage Records

We record your monthly usage time (speaking time) and translated character count. This data is used only for billing calculations and service improvement.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

Jamagi uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

Essential functionality — We store a session token in browser local storage to keep you signed in.
User preferences — Preferences such as interface language and subtitle style are stored locally.

7. Data Retention

Account data (email and usage records) is retained while your account is active. Deleting your account removes this data from our systems. Broadcast audio is not retained.

8. Third-Party Services

Jamagi integrates with the following third-party services in order to operate. Each has its own privacy policy:

AI speech recognition service — real-time speech-to-text
Machine translation service — text translation
Payment provider — payment processing
Cloud hosting — service infrastructure

Jamagi does not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

9. Your Rights

Under applicable laws (including Korea's Personal Information Protection Act and the GDPR), you may exercise the following rights:

Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion — Request deletion of your account and related personal data.
Portability — Request your data in a portable format.

10. Children's Privacy

Jamagi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we delete it immediately if we discover we have.

11. Data Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS encryption for all data transfers, secure database storage, and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable measure to protect your personal data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If there are significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown on this page. Continuing to use the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
